You can never get enough of luxury Cape Town fine dining and exceptional wining, and the Mother’s City’s version of the Good Food and Wine Show will not disappoint on this front.

Every year, this well-attended event puts top South African and international chefs in the spotlight as they strut their stuff at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 21 to 25 May 2015. Past stars of the show have included Michelin-star bedecked participants such as Gordon Ramsay and Giorgio Locatelli and this year promises some more of that in the kitchen with appearances by Australian Masterchef Judge Matt Preston, Siba Mtongana, from Food Network, and Cape Town’s own Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro.

At the Good Food and Wine Show you can catch up with the latest in culinary culture by means of private cooking lessons, interactive displays, workshops and demonstrations, which will all be dished up at this year’s event.

A selection of luxury Cape Town boutique wine estates are displaying their products, the Decadent Dessert Theatre shows you how to whip up an unforgettable afternoon tea, and you can catch up with the latest in gadgets and ingredients at numerous stalls too.

Those who simply can’t resist, will be able to purchase items here that are hard to come by in everyday life, such as the very best chocolates, beer, olive oils, whiskey and wine. Worried about overindulging? Nutrition Revolution will put your mind at ease by explaining how the good life can still be good for the mind, body and soul.

Bring the youngsters along and foster an early love of food at the Disney Fun and Food Zone, where they can participate in interactive food-related learning, and join in cooking classes for 4 to 12-year year olds at Woolworths’ Little Chef’s Kitchen.

Tickets are available online, which will get you access to all the exhibition areas and free demonstrations of gadgets and goodies. Some of the more exclusive events such as celebrity chef theatres may cost a little extra, so make sure to check when you book, to avoid disappointment.
